Manage the assignment from "cradle to grave" including designing and implementing the investigation plan, reporting, and presenting the investigation findings, and maintaining responsibility for the budget and administrative aspects.
Lead on delivery and development of forensic analysis and investigations
Preparing, interpreting, and auditing accounts
Analysing, modelling, testing, documenting, and presenting financial scenarios, identifying risks and issues
Engage in marketing activities including the drafting of articles, participation in webinars/seminars, and supporting and promoting Secretariat events.
Prepare, and present as part of a team, pitches, and commercial/technical proposals for prospective clients
Be the operational client-facing member of the assignment team. This will require the ability to develop and maintain client relationships and manage expectations.
Actively participate in business development by identifying potential new clients and business leads, as well as developing your own professional network through attendance at relevant conferences and events.
Coach and develop junior members of the team including providing feedback, both on an ad hoc basis and as part of the appraisal process, and actively supporting their development needs.
Requirements
Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent international accountancy qualification
Considerable experience within an investigation practice, ideally with part of that experience spent within a consulting firm. That experience should include investigations of the following themes: fraud, asset misappropriation, bribery and corruption, IP theft, financial misreporting, undisclosed relationships, and asset/individual tracing.
Ideally have an established network of contacts in law firms and/or corporates, financial institutions, PE houses, etc.
Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem resolution abilities.
Developed commercial judgment.
Additional languages would be beneficial but is not essential.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
The ability to travel.
The desire to join in with, and/or lead, auxiliary tasks associated with a growing practice within a rapidly growing firm.
