Working closely with the Head of Middle East, this individual will play an important lead role in driving growth across Wellingtons full product suite with Financial Intermediaries and Institutionalized Family Offices in the Middle East region.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include:
Working in close partnership with the Head of Middle East to execute the sales strategy with regional intermediaries and institutionalized family offices;
Providing dedicated client coverage, focused on driving growth across funds/strategies, in line with business priorities;
Contributing to the teams collaborative approach to relationship building with strategic partners, including identifying, developing, and nurturing key contacts;
Managing and developing existing client relationships, highlighting key focus funds/strategies, contributing to building buy list positions, and identifying new opportunities to partner with key firms;
Contributing to the development of wider industry relationships, e.g. trade bodies/ratings agencies/consultants;
Recording and maintaining all significant client contact, and managing pipeline updates, on Salesforce, and ensuring that notes are captured accurately;
Partnering closely with Marketing and PR colleagues to ensure that local marketing and sales strategies are closely aligned, and contributing to the continued growth in brand awareness;
Working with our internal colleagues on the product prioritization, development, and launch of vehicles that will be made available to the Middle East Intermediary and Family Office channel (i.e. feeder funds etc.);
Providing guidance and direction to Relationship Analysts;
Actively contributing to team sales meetings, strategy planning and development;
Traveling within the Middle East to support the teams distribution effort with key accounts, contributing to client events, roadshows, and education.
QualificationsThe successful candidate is likely to:
Have approximately 8-10 years of relevant industry experience, working closely with relationships in the Middle East. This should include 3-5 + years experience in a business development type role;
Have a demonstrable track record of successfully developing and managing a network of client relationships within the Middle East Intermediary and Family Office segment;
Have a comprehensive understanding of competitors, products, key market trends, and industry developments;
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of financial markets products, and an ability to influence through a content-led, consultative sales approach;
Be action orientated, accountable, committed, driven and self-motivated, with excellent communication and team working skills;
Have the ability to prioritise, focus, eliminate roadblocks and execute a sales strategy in a timely manner:
Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trust, and a client centric focus;
Have a strong academic background, including an undergraduate degree. A relevant professional qualification (e.g. IMC, CFA) or progress towards one, is preferred.
