Job Description

An Assistant Welder supports the welding team by assisting with various welding and metalworking tasks. This role involves preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and performing basic welding duties under the supervision of a senior welder. The assistant ensures the quality of welds, adheres to safety standards, and assists in completing projects efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Welding Assistance :
• Assist in welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, depending on project requirements.
• Prepare materials and components for welding, such as cleaning and aligning metal pieces.
• Equipment Maintenance :
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure proper function and safety.
• Help in troubleshooting minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs.
• Material Handling :
• Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for welding.
• Assist in measuring and marking materials before welding.
• Safety Compliance :
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper protective gear.
• Ensure the work area is clean and organized to prevent hazards.
• Quality Control :
• Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist in post-welding tasks such as grinding, sanding, and cleaning welded areas.

Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred.
• Experience : Some experience or training in welding is preferred, but not required.
• Skills :
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques and tools.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and technical instructions.

An Assistant Welder helps ensure efficient and safe completion of welding projects, while gaining valuable experience in various welding techniques and processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,700.00 per month
