Job Description

The Assistant Store Keeper will support the efficient operation of the store and inventory management systems within the ADNOC Onshore oil and gas operations. This role focuses on managing mechanical equipment, spare parts, and materials used in the oil and gas industry, ensuring that inventory is maintained accurately, and materials are readily available for ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
• Receive, inspect, and record mechanical equipment and materials delivered to the store.
• Ensure that all received items match the purchase orders, delivery notes, and any other relevant documentation.
• Properly label and store equipment and materials, ensuring they are readily accessible when needed.
• Assist with maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory record.
• Perform routine stock checks and cycle counts to ensure stock levels are consistent and accurate.
• Organize and store items to minimize damage and prevent inventory discrepancies.
• Update inventory management software or manual logs to track the movement of materials.
• Stock Control:
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock to the storekeeper or inventory supervisor.
• Ensure that critical mechanical equipment and spare parts are always available for maintenance or operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for storing hazardous materials, spare parts, and mechanical equipment.
• Assist in managing stock rotation, ensuring that older stock is used first to prevent obsolescence.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records for incoming and outgoing materials, including shipping documents, material requisitions, and stock transfers.
• Assist with generating reports on stock levels, usage, and material movements to support decision-making and forecasting.
• Assist with the preparation of purchase requisitions and procurement requests for replenishing stock.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure the store area is well-organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
• Adhere to ADNOC's HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and guidelines, especially regarding the handling and storage of mechanical equipment and hazardous materials.
• Participate in safety training and awareness programs.
• Follow ADNOC Onshore procedures for safe handling and storage of chemicals, tools, and mechanical parts.
• Team Support:
• Collaborate with the storekeeper, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in coordinating the movement of equipment and materials between various departments or on-site locations.
• Provide assistance to maintenance teams or operations as required, ensuring timely material and equipment availability.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect mechanical equipment and materials upon receipt to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from damage.
• Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement department for any discrepancies in product quality or delivery.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent. A diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience:
• At least 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or storekeeping within the oil and gas or mechanical equipment industry.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment, spare parts, and materials used in the oil and gas industry.
• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (computerized or manual).
• Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to oil and gas operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with suppliers, contractors, and colleagues.
• Certifications:
• Forklift operation certification (if required for the job).
• HSE or safety training certification is a plus.
• Additional relevant training in materials management, mechanical equipment, or inventory control is an advantage.

Work Environment:

• The role will be based at ADNOC Onshore facilities in the UAE.
• May involve working in a warehouse, on-site, or in a storeroom environment.
• Adherence to ADNOC's health, safety, and environmental protocols is essential.
• May require occasional travel to different facilities or work in shifts based on operational needs.
