About the job Assistant Resident EngineerGeneral Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing day-to-day construction activities and project progress.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
• Monitor construction methods, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and local authorities, to resolve technical issues and site challenges.
• Review and approve construction shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Monitor quality control procedures and ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
• Assist in reviewing contractor claims, variations, and progress payments.
• Support the Resident Engineer in preparing project documentation, reports, and correspondence.
• Attend project and coordination meetings as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably within PMC or large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Landscape and infrastructure projects.
