JOB PURPOSE The College of Fine Arts and Design seeks a qualified candidate to teach full time courses in design studio and related courses in visual communication beginning September 2025.







MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS • Ability to teach design studio and related courses in graphic design and/or multimedia, with a special interest in teaching Branding, Illustration, Information Design, Packaging, Publishing, Typography (Arabic/English) and Wayfinding courses.
• Strong research and publication or art scholarship.
• Contribution to Fundamentals of Design and Drawing studios.
• Academically advise undergraduate students.
• Engage in Program/Department and College assignments, activities, and events.
• Participate in relevant professional activities to improve teaching and subject matter competence.
• Serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected.

Lead efforts toward community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.

REQUIRED SKILLS Applicants holding PhD/MFA/MDes degree with established record of academic performance and scholarly activities. Preference given to candidates demonstrating:


• Effective teaching skills and professional experience.
• Solid experience in teaching and learning media & technology.
• Ability to teach art and design survey courses or printmaking studios.
• Good record in research and/or artistic scholarly activities.
• At least 5 years full time teaching experience in higher education institutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
• Strong interpersonal skills towards effective professor-student interactions, both one-on-one (student interaction) and in group (classroom) sessions.
• Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual and personal potential.
• Team player that is motivated to strengthen and advance the department.
