The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities
• Oversee Workshop Operations: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the joinery workshop, including production planning, scheduling, material procurement, and resource allocation.
• Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of joinery draftsmen, ensuring that they adhere to quality standards and meet production targets. Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all joinery products meet the required standards. Conduct regular inspections and checks to identify any defects or areas for improvement.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, optimize resource utilization, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all workshop employees by enforcing safety regulations, conducting regular safety training, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with Project Manager, Production Coordinator, Site Engineers, draftsman, and clients to develop production schedules and timelines. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, tools, and equipment in the workshop. Ensure their proper functioning to minimize downtime and production delays.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
• UAE Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar role WELL EQUIPPED joinery industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of joinery production processes, materials, and woodworking techniques. Knowledge of relevant joinery software and CAD/CAM systems is advantageous.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing a team of joinery craftsmen, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment. Ability to delegate tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance effectively.
• Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve production-related issues promptly.
• Quality Focus: Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality joinery products and maintaining strict quality control standards.
