Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Assistant Operations Manager (Landfills) to join our award-winning team based in Jeddah, KSA.

This position will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of landfill operations within the cleaning and waste management projects in Jeddah Governorate. This role involves supporting the planning, coordination, and oversight of daily landfill activities, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and optimizing landfill operations for efficiency.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and effective landfill management.

We envisage success in this role to include: Assisting in the daily management and coordination of landfill operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Supporting the planning and implementation of landfill procedures to optimize waste disposal and resource recovery. Conducting site inspections to monitor landfill performance, safety standards, and operational efficiency. Collaborating with contractors, waste management teams, and local authorities to resolve operational issues and improve landfill processes. Assisting in managing budgets, resources, and equipment required for landfill operations. Preparing detailed reports on landfill activities, performance metrics, and compliance with regulatory standards. Ensuring that all landfill operations meet local environmental regulations and best practices in waste management. Providing recommendations for improving landfill operations and implementing sustainable waste management practices. Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years of experience in landfill operations, waste management, or public infrastructure projects, partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Waste Management, or a related field.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate: Strong knowledge of landfill management, waste disposal methods, and environmental regulations. Familiarity with health and safety standards in landfill operations. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to operational details. Strong communication and teamwork skills in both English and Arabic. Certification in waste management or landfill operations (e.g., SWANA, ISO 14001) is an advantage. Saudi nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
