We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Assistant Nurse with a DOH license to provide support across Pediatric, Newborn, Adult, and Maternity care settings. The ideal candidate will work closely with registered nurses and physicians to deliver quality care, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and assisting with daily healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Patient Care Support
• Assist in the daily care of patients, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding for pediatric, newborn, adult, and maternity patients.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate, reporting any irregularities to the supervising nurse.
• Aid in administering medications and treatments under the guidance of registered nurses and according to facility protocols.
• Specialized Departmental Support
• Support maternity and newborn care by assisting with postnatal patient needs, newborn monitoring, and mother-baby bonding activities.
• Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients, offering comfort and engaging young patients to ease any anxiety during procedures or exams.
• Help adult patients with their rehabilitation and care needs, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and comfortably.
• Patient Education and Family Support
• Provide patients and their families with basic health education and guidance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Educate families on newborn care and postpartum recovery, as instructed, and offer support to patients and family members with questions or concerns.
• Coordination and Communication
• Work collaboratively with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient handovers, sharing relevant information on patient progress and needs to the incoming care team.
• Maintain clear communication with team members to provide efficient and coordinated patient care.
• Documentation and Compliance
• Accurately document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations in accordance with DOH guidelines and facility protocols.
• Adhere to all infection control policies, safety protocols, and quality standards in patient care.
• Stay informed on DOH policies and participate in ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge of healthcare best practices.
• Emergency Response
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, providing basic first aid and alerting senior nursing staff or physicians as needed.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and participate in emergency response drills as required by the facility.
Qualifications
• Licensure : Valid DOH License
• Education : Diploma or Certification in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Experience : Minimum 3 years UAE experience in pediatric, newborn, adult, or maternity care
• Skills : Excellent communication, teamwork, empathy, and organizational skills
