HOMECARE IN AL AIN Looking for Female Assistant Nurse - HAAD_PN Description: An Assistant Nurse, also known as a healthcare assistant and auxiliary nurse, assists healthcare professionals to provide care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, or in the home of the patient. The healthcare assistant works under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals and provides first-hand care, comfort, and safety to patients. We are looking for an Assistant Nurse who will assist healthcare professionals, under the supervision of qualified nursing staff, to carry out a spectrum of duties. Their tasks include assisting patients with personal care and conducting clinical duties, in addition to carrying out, monitoring, and recording the results of medical tests, which the healthcare professional will analyze. To be successful as a healthcare assistant, you should possess a caring and nurturing personality. You should also be able to handle physically demanding tasks, such as supporting the weight of patients to aid mobility, turning patients over, and lifting heavy medical equipment. Healthcare Assistant Responsibilities:
- Help patients with hygiene activities such as using the bathroom, bathing, brushing teeth, and dressing.
- Assist patients with meals by feeding them.
- Clean linen regularly.
- Taking the temperature, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels of patients, and recording the results. Monitor vital signs and report worrying symptoms to the RN.
- Making up beds, giving out bedpans, and collecting bedpans.
- Help patients with mobility problems to move around.
- Ensuring that supplies and medical equipment are replenished.
- Improving the mobility of patients.
- Setting up equipment required by healthcare professionals.
- Recording the pulse rate of patients.
- Preparing patients for therapy.
- Diploma of Nursing not less than 18 months course duration
- Proven 1 year of minimum post work experience as an Assistant Nurse or similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Great written and verbal communication
- Ability to carefully read and follow directions.
- Flexibility in work duties and schedule
- Good teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move patients.
- Good foundation of clinical skills and knowledge
- Relevant training and/or certifications as Assistant Nurse
- A tactful and approachable personality.
