Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Male Assistant with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, along with maintenance and administrative experience. The ideal candidate will provide essential support for the daily operations of MEP maintenance tasks while assisting with office administration, scheduling, documentation, and coordination. A certification in safety will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the maintenance and operation of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, ensuring smooth functionality of facilities and equipment.
• Support daily MEP-related tasks including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, coordinating with technicians and contractors.
• Provide administrative support such as maintaining records, filing documents, handling correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
• Assist in preparing maintenance schedules for all MEP systems and ensuring tasks are carried out in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of MEP maintenance work, including job logs, equipment history, and service reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to organize preventative maintenance for all equipment, and manage service contracts for MEP systems.
• Monitor inventory and manage procurement of MEP-related supplies and equipment.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, quotations, and documentation for MEP services and maintenance contracts.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, assisting in organizing safety inspections and audits for MEP systems.
• Collaborate with the team to handle emergency maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Perform regular safety checks and ensure all MEP-related equipment is operating in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist in managing documentation related to regulatory compliance and safety guidelines in MEP systems.
• Perform general office administrative tasks such as managing emails, filing, and organizing project files.
• Support the management team in reporting and tracking maintenance budgets and expenditures.
• Assist with coordination of external contractors, vendors, and suppliers for MEP-related works.
• Participate in safety training and contribute to the creation of safety protocols within the workplace.
Qualifications:
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in MEP maintenance and administrative support roles.
• Hands-on experience with MEP systems, maintenance procedures, and repair tasks.
• Familiarity with office administration tasks including filing, scheduling, and document preparation.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a maintenance or technical environment.
• Certification in safety (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid, Fire Safety) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems and general maintenance procedures.
• Administrative Skills: Proficient in office administration, including scheduling, document management, and data entry.
• Safety Knowledge: Familiar with safety regulations, especially in relation to MEP systems and maintenance activities.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in [Language(s)] (e.g., English).
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related issues efficiently.
• Technical Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Teamwork: Able to collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Preferred Attributes:
• Certification in safety (e.g., First Aid, OSHA, Health and Safety Management).
• Previous experience in facilities management or similar MEP-related environments.
• Knowledge of safety compliance and best practices within the maintenance industry.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software or tools is a plus.
