Job Description

:The RoleInfrastructure Advisory is looking for interested candidates for Assistant Manager role to join our Infrastructure Advisory team. On a day-to-day basis, the Assistant Manager will under the direction of Directors and Managers to support the delivery and execution of engagements. The Assistant Manager will work as a part of high-performance advisory environment that would require to work collaboratively with other teams and external partners for joint delivery on engagements. The nature of the work usually involves advising government clients for PPP procurement, PPP option evaluation, feasibility studies / business case preparation and on the private client for pre-bid financial advisory, model review and preparation, etc.Key ResponsibilitiesThe following responsibilities are primary, though they do not encompass the entirety of the role\'s expectations.
  • Lead the execution of PPP mandates, including coordinating with sub-contractors, review of legal and technical outputs, documentation, and financial models.
  • Lead the preparation of market studies and feasibility reports.
  • Drafting engagement deliverables/reports
  • Lead the delivery team to manage marketing of project concepts to bidders, completing roadshows, prequalification, tendering and award, and the final negotiation of project agreements leading to financial close.
  • Independently develop own financial models and sound financial analysis of the models to draw conclusions.
  • Develop, coach, motivate and manage junior members of the team.
  • Assist in other project or strategy related activities as the need may arise.
  • Support the senior team members in preparation of proposals
  • Effectively communicate with the client for obtaining inputs for execution and participate / contribute in discussions during client meetings or presentations.
  • Work on multiple engagements through efficient delivery of assigned tasks and effective time management
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in working with large government clients or private sector developers on Infrastructure PPP transactions. Experience in GCC region will be an added plus
  • Experience in infrastructure sectors (including power, water, transport, healthcare sectors) with knowledge of sector trends.
  • Experience within Big 4 and boutique advisory firms preferred. However, relevant experience gained from other institutions e.g. banks could also be considered
  • Strong analytical skills and good understanding of financial modeling/structuring skills
  • Ability to operate in large, culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is required.
  • Graduate / post-graduate from a reputed institution / college
  • Experience of PPP procurement (government side) and/or Pre-bid Advisory and project finance (private side) will be considered most relevant.
  • Hands -on experience in financial modelling.
  • Strong communication, power point and report writing skills are a must
  • Candidate experience in the Middle East will be preferred but not necessary.
Required Technical Skills/Competencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Proficiency in building financial models
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing in English. Proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage.
