Job Description

:Strategy and PlanningProvide support to the DMC Operations Manager in the development and implementation of annual maintenance and service plans and strategies in accordance with HSE standards, company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance packages of all equipment and ensure that the preventive, breakdown & corrective maintenance activities are carried out as per the schedule.
  • Implement quality, HSE and facility management systems, in addition to corresponding SOPs, that is compliant with ISO 9001, 14001, 41001 & 45001 in addition to all relevant laws, rules, regulations, codes, standard, best practices and manufacturer\'s instructions.
  • To participate in annual budget preparation and monitor/control department cost / spends throughout the fiscal year.
Operations
  • Responsible for the condition and operability of all facilities and assets in the yard.
  • Responsible for the management of yard services provided including maintaining the highest standards of quality, HSE and technical and regulatory compliance with regards to the maintenance of assets and facilities and provision of services in the yard.
  • Coordinate with key personnel within the department and organization for smooth operation of the yard.
  • Schedule and monitor the implementation of work process and meeting annual Performance Objective.
  • Assist Operations Manager in developing new work process that contributes to improve efficiency of overall business which includes developing and implementing SOPs.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure that there is continuous feedback about the quality of service rendered at Yard.
  • Provide technical advice on maintenance programme and on how to minimize the down time.
  • Timely accomplishment of Technical Evaluations & Techno-Commercial Analysis for the bids & communicate with Procurement & Contract Team in finalising orders.
  • Assist operational and Reservation department for day-to-day activities and to meet project requirements.
  • To actively identify areas for energy and cost savings.
  • To actively identify areas for improvements regarding equipment\'s utilized.
  • Controlling all activities within the maintenance but not limited to planned preventive maintenance, breakdown and fault repair, small works, equipment improvement and development.
  • Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the department/section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Review and establish objectives, standards and enforce maintenance schedules for timely completion.
  • Liaise with class societies as deemed for discussion on Endorsement and recertification of Strategic Equipment and resolve technical findings.
  • Oversee department manpower, equipment and various other resource requirements and ensure optimum cost control.
  • Compliance with Trakhees, EHS, company HSE policies and all relevant laws, rules, regulations, standards, codes and best practices.
  • Other job-related duties assigned by the Operations manager.
  • Ensure the departmental reports are submitted on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.
People Management
  • Direct and control the staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
  • To lead, motivate and manage all parties involved in the delivery and contribution to the project including third party contractors.
  • Maintain regular contact with team in resolving any problems, identify new business opportunities and improve service levels and efficiency by finding best solutions that benefits the company.
  • Ensure appropriate workflow management between staff through appropriate delegation of work.
  • Monitor the performance of staff on an on-going basis, conduct performance reviews against agreed goals and ensure effective staff development.
  • Identify training and developmental priorities for the department to ensure that all employees possess the requisite skills and knowledge to successfully perform their roles and responsibilities.
