The reporting requirements includes (but not limited to) monthly reporting pack to Aldar Group along with relevant schedules and finalization of annual financial statements (consolidated).This role is also responsible to line manage Corporate Senior Accountant and oversee the financial operations & reporting of HQ entities (Aldar Education, Aldar Training Academy, Aldar Schools).Support Manager - Group Finance to successfully implement key finance projects and initiatives to achieve finance centre of excellence.Responsibilities:Main Duties:
  • Support Manager - Group Finance in managing the group finance and reporting requirements
Specific Duties:Strategic Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly reporting pack for Aldar Group along with relevant schedules timely and accurately.
  • Prepare annual consolidated financial statement for Aldar Education.
  • Standardise the process and templates for financial reporting requirements across Aldar Education.
  • Prepare requirements for key finance projects and support to successfully implement the projects.
  • Line manage Corporate Senior Accountant and review closing activities for HQ entities (Aldar Education, Aldar Training Academy, Aldar Schools).
  • Prepare shared services costs allocation to operated & managed schools based on signed agreement.
  • Prepare payroll costing versus payment vs GL accounting to ensure accuracy in payroll accounting.
Functional Responsibilities :
  • Initiate any new legal entity creation, maintain Chart of Accounts, creation of new GL code and mapping to statutory & group reporting and unified chart of accounts, financial closing & consolidation process/system (FCCP) and tax reporting and consolidation system (TRCS).
  • Roll out monthly closing and reporting timelines post approval from Manager - Group Finance and update status to achieve group timeline.
  • Review monthly financial performance for all AE businesses and provide key variances for group reporting.
  • Prepare monthly reporting pack along with relevant schedules received from AE finance team and send to Group in a timely manner.
  • Review schedules received from AE finance team to be incorporated in the group reporting pack to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare annual statutory consolidation of Aldar Education financial statements.
  • Review balance sheet accounts for HQ entities (Aldar Education, Aldar Training Academy, Aldar Schools), list out key action plans with responsibility and timeline to improve the quality of GL balances.
  • Prepare financial information for relevant insurance policies such as money, fidelity, PAR & TPL.
  • Coordinate with school and HQ team for external and internal audit requirements to close audit within timeline.
  • Responsible for meeting adhoc reporting requirements from Aldar Group and AE business.
  • Initiate process improvement wherever possible to achieve finance excellence.
  • Prepare requirements (templates, data collection, analysis, etc.) for key finance projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare scheme of entries with regards to Purchase Price Allocation for newly acquired businesses.
  • ICFR point of contact for Financial Statement Closing Process, Consolidation, Leases & Related Party Transactions.
  • Prepare monthly shared services costs allocation to operated & managed schools based on signed agreement.
  • Prepare monthly payroll costing versus payment vs GL accounting to ensure accuracy in payroll accounting.
  • Act as a backup for AFM - Tax & Compliance and Treasury (whenever applicable).
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Professional qualification with relevant experience in Group Reporting
  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/CMA) preferred
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years in finance
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
  • Fluent English communication skills, written and oral.
  • Attention to detail with diligent follow up, and able to execute in a timely manner.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking and handling pressure
  • Advanced excel skills and experience in using critical excel formulas
  • Proficient with accounting software
  • Ability to liaise effectively business functions in order to collect input required for analysis

  • Excellent analytical capabilities and hands on experience in MS Office presentations
