Job Description

Summary

• To assist to ensure that minimum brand standards have been implemented.


• To assist to ensure that the Food and Beverage Top 20 are implemented.


• To respond to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensure that the relevant changes are implemented.


• To respond to the results of Hysat and ensure that the relevant changes are implemented.


• To assist the Assistant Hotel Manager in efficiently managing the outlet according to the established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Hyatt Place Dubai Hotels Standards of Performance.


• To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work (see attached Master Task List) to the standard set. Please note that Master Task Lists are reviewed and changed on a regular basis reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.


• To assign responsibilities to subordinates implementing Multi-Tasking principle and to check their performance periodically.


• To maintain a pool of qualified part time employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.


• To implement a flexible scheduling based on business patterns.


• To ensure that the par stocks for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and that the outlet is adequately equipped.


• To assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.


• To assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.


• To conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service and menu.


• To liaise with the Kitchen and Beverage Department on daily operation and quality.


• To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.


• To ensure that the outlet cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to.


• To ensure that the outlet is kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house.


• To liaise and organize with Housekeeping Department that the established cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to.


• To coordinate all Repair and Maintenance and issue repair and maintenance job orders to ensure the proper maintenance of the outlet.

Qualifications


Qualified candidates should possess strong and accurate communications skills with a critical eye for detail. Able to handle fast paced international environment where multi-tasking is essential. Must have working knowledge and experience with Microsoft office products.
