This is not simply our job, its our passion.About The RoleThe Assistant Manager, Facilities for Guest Rooms supports the overall management of maintenance and operations for guest room facilities in a hospitality setting. This role involves assisting in the coordination of maintenance schedules, overseeing repair work, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Person in this role will help with leading the maintenance team, facilitate communication with vendors, and collaborate with other departments to enhance the guest experience. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, tracking maintenance requests, and contributing to budget management. Other resposnibilities of the role consist of:
Assisting in the management of daily operations of maintenance staff and activities for guest room facilities
Scheduling and supervising routine, preventive and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality.
Conducting regular inspections of guest rooms to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Supporting the training and development of maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Monitoring contractors performance and ensuring adherence to service agreements and quality standards
Addressing guest inquiries and concerns related to facilities and maintenance issues promptly and professionally
Implementing and monitoring safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment inventories.
About YouWe are looking for candidates with at least 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity within hotel based facilities department. To succeed in this role you need to have an engineering degree/diploma and have strong data analysis skills. You should have demonstarted track record of delivering and monitoring preventative / reactive/ predicative maintenance as well as Utilities and Energy Management. This role requires ability to work on multiple projects within complex fast paced organisation and confidence in leading a large team of junior team members.
