Job Purpose: As our RTR Manager , you'll be the driving force behind the Record To Report (RTR) operations, ensuring accurate reconciliations, smooth month-end closes, and effective fixed asset and banking management. Leading a team of 2-3 accounting staff, you'll also take charge of client accounting, support internal processes, and contribute valuable insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
?? Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, inspire, and manage a team of accounting professionals, ensuring the team delivers high-quality work across multiple client portfolios.
Continuously train, mentor, and upskill team members in both technical skills and new technology, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Regularly update yourself and the team with the latest accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and relevancy.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee and enhance end-to-end accounting processes, from sub-ledger entries to trial balance and financial reporting.
Apply core accounting principles such as consistency, conservatism, accruals, and revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy and alignment with standards.
Manage RTR processes, including month-end closes, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reviews.
Advisory & Strategic Input:
Act as a trusted advisor to senior management by providing insightful financial analyses, reporting, and variance analysis that support strategic decision-making.
Propose process improvements and efficiencies, actively contributing to business outcome projects and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Suggest process changes and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and improve client satisfaction.
Technology & Upskilling:
Stay ahead of technology trends by upskilling in the latest accounting software and tools, ensuring the team leverages technology for efficiency and accuracy.
Drive the adoption of advanced Excel functionalities (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, XERO) within the team.
Qualifications:
Education: CA or CA Inter ONLY (Applicants currently in CA finals are not eligible).
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in accounting and taxation, with at least 5 years focused on auditing, taxation, and final accounts preparation within a CA firm or corporate setting.
