We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Assistant Finance Officer. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Finance Officer will play a key role in supporting various financial activities essential to the smooth operation of our resort. Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Invoice Processing: Process invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments as necessary to resolve any discrepancies.
Budget Monitoring: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets. Track expenses and provide regular reports to management on budget variances.
Bank Reconciliation: Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses as required by management and regulatory authorities.
Payroll Support: Support payroll processing activities, including data entry, verification, and reconciliation. Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Financial Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement or cost savings.
Assist Finance Manager: Provide administrative and clerical support to the Finance Manager as needed, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and organizing documents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
