Job Purpose :
The purpose of this role is to oversee and optimize the daily operations of the packing department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established standards. This position is responsible for analyzing operational performance, managing resources effectively, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Experience: 4 years and above in Aluminium Industry
Skills or Knowledge: Leadership, Microsoft Office, Resource Planning
Age Limit: 30-40 years.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Creates work plan and assigns employees to workstations to implement packing plan (OTD, FIFO, urgent orders).
2. Ensures material is identified, organized and supplied to workstations as per packing plan.
3. Ensures productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift is in accordance with set KPIs.
4. Ensures security of facilities during designated shift hours.
5. Enforces quality and safety procedures and does routine checks to assure implementation.
6. Enables effective communications between department head and operators/packers.
7. Communicates with maintenance and quality personnel to address breakdown and quality issues.
8. Trains new employees and coaches existing employees on packaging method, quality issues etc.
9. Maintains a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S principles.
10. Enforces high level time keeping and organizes overtime period in consultation with employees
11. Investigates and reports all safety and quality incidents (accidents, NCs) on system.
12. Does basket stock count and reconciles backlog material with baskets.
13. Has active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
