Our client is a five-star resort with multiple F&B outlets, recognised globally as a hospitality leader for its legendary service, world-class spa retreats and distinct dining concept and is currently seeking for a dynamic Assistant Director of Sales. As an Assistant Director of Sales, you are responsible for maximizing rooms / F&B / Conference and Banqueting business from a defined account base. You are expected to proactively uncover new prospects and maximize conversion of business in line with hotel budgetary goals. This position is the senior account handler within the Sales structure and therefore requires a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative. This position is responsible for the management of sales accounts and is also responsible for assisting the Director of Sales with the day-to-day management of the sales team. Representing the hotel brand, promoting the quality image of the company at every opportunity and uncovering leads for the hotel. Requirements: University degree or diploma in Business, Economy, Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or progressive managerial roles in sales. Excellent command of the English language, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. European work background or experience is a bonus. Excellent presentation skills. Good interpersonal and leadership skills. A proven track record of driving business results from previous experiences in ultra-luxury brands or similar five-star establishments. Pre-opening experience is a plus. Responsibilities: Proactively manage a pre-determined number of key accounts/key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives. Prospecting new accounts and following the sales process to convert them into producing accounts. Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect. Ensure hotel system for Sales and Catering Standards are maintained and utilized to full capacity. Attend trade fairs as a representative of the brand. Participate in the annual Sales & Marketing Planning process and support the Director of Sales. Communicate client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to all internal departments. Re-negotiate SET agreements within the company guidelines. Compile and execute quarterly sales action plans as agreed with the Director of Sales. Arrange and manage familiarization trips and educational excursions. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure weekly notice board checks are completed. Participate in sales & marketing strategies and take responsibility for agreed projects. Complete all Global Preference, European SET Preferred RFP Agreements and Travel Management solicitations within the MAP account base. Participate in weekend Duty Management Shifts as required. Respond to any Group/banqueting requests, checking space/rates in Opera Sales & Catering.
