Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing the hotel\'s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and procedures, including tax laws and internal controls
Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators to assess the hotel\'s financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Coordinate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts, providing guidance and support as needed
Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries
Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and maximize profitability
Foster a culture of professionalism amongst the team through training, mentoring, and performance management
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the hospitality industry. Middle East experience and hotel pre-opening experience is an advantage
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a hotel setting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve excellence.
