Assistant Camp Coordinator

Job Description

Camp Operations Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the camp, ensuring all services are provided efficiently.
• Take daily attendance of employees and ensure records are accurately maintained.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality meal preparation and service.
• Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the entire camp, including living quarters, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Manage the allocation and maintenance of accommodation facilities.
• Implement and maintain camp policies and procedures.

Staff Supervision:

• Supervise and manage camp staff, including cooks, cleaners, maintenance personnel, and security staff.
• Conduct regular meetings with camp staff to review operations, address issues, and plan for upcoming activities.
• Train and mentor camp staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the camp.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Implement emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills.
• Coordinate with medical personnel to ensure residents have access to healthcare services when needed.

Resident Welfare:

• Address resident complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Organize recreational and social activities to enhance the well-being and morale of camp residents.
• Maintain a register of all residents and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Resource Management:

• Monitor and manage camp inventory, including food supplies, cleaning materials, and other essential items.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Manage camp budgets and control costs while maintaining service quality.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and submit regular reports on camp operations, issues, and activities to the Operations Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance activities, and other relevant information.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in camp management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to handle emergencies and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a remote location and adapt to challenging living conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform inspections and oversee camp activities.

Work Environment:

• This position is based in a camp setting, which may involve working in harsh weather conditions and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
