To conduct teaching and art scholarship in Printmaking, Photography, or Sculpture - Instruction is in English. The College of Fine Arts and Design seeks a qualified candidate (Full time or Visiting contract) to teach full time courses in Printmaking, Sculpture, and Photography studios beginning September 2025. Responsibilities
Ability to teach basic and advanced drawing, photography, and sculpture studios, or History, Theory & Criticism with a focus on non-western narratives. Strong research and publication or art scholarship. Contribution to Fundamentals of Design and Drawing studios. Academically advise undergraduate students. Engage in Program/Department and College assignments, activities, and events. Participate in relevant professional activities to improve teaching and subject matter competence. Serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected. Lead efforts toward community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean. Required Skills
Applicants holding a PhD/MFA degree with an established record of academic performance and scholarly activities. Preference is given to candidates demonstrating: Effective teaching skills and professional experience. Solid experience in teaching and learning media & technology. Ability to teach art and design survey courses or printmaking studios. Good record in research and/or artistic scholarly activities. At least 5 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education institutions. Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English). Strong interpersonal skills towards effective professor-student interactions, both one-on-one (student interaction) and in group (classroom) sessions. Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual, and personal potential.
