Job Summary:
The Assistant Accountant will support the accounting department by performing various accounting and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Keeping:
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Record financial transactions and complete posting processes.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing and sending out invoices.
• Bank Reconciliations:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• General Ledger:
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
• Monitor budgetary performance and report variances.
• Compliance and Auditing:
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support to the finance department.
• Manage and maintain accounting documents and records.
• Other Duties:
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience with Vat and tax as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Basic knowledge about GAPP or IFRS Reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software Net Suite
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Experience in [industry-specific knowledge, if applicable].
