Job Title: Account Assistant
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Account Assistant to support our finance team in managing the daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will play an essential role in supporting the financial operations of a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily Accounting Operations:
• Record daily financial transactions and update the general ledger.
• Assist in processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Inventory Accounting:
• Assist in managing inventory records and reconciling stock balances.
• Support inventory costing and stock adjustment entries.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
• Assist in preparing profit-and-loss statements and balance sheets.
• Audit Support:
• Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate and audit-ready.
• Taxation & Compliance:
• Assist in preparing VAT/GST filings and other tax-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
• Coordination:
• Liaise with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to reconcile financial data.
• Maintain communication with suppliers and customers for payment-related queries.
• Documentation & Filing:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation and filing.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Account Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of VAT/GST and local tax regulations is a plus.

Work Conditions:
