Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and mentor a team of assembly technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, task assignment, and adherence to production schedules.
UAV Assembly Oversight: Lead the assembly and integration of UAV airframes and avionics components, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures throughout the assembly process, conducting inspections and ensuring that all products meet or exceed quality standards.
Training and Development: Provide training to team members on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Assist team members in diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during the assembly and integration process, ensuring that all components function correctly and are installed properly.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of the assembly process, production progress, and any issues encountered. Provide regular reports to management on team performance, production metrics, and quality outcomes.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline assembly processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Implement lean manufacturing practices where applicable.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the integrity of UAV systems.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics, avionics, or a related field preferred
Significant experience in assembly and integration of mechanical and electronic components, preferably in the aerospace or UAV industry. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
In-depth understanding of the assembly and integration of UAV components, including mechanical and electronic systems.
Expertise in reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Proficiency in assembly techniques and use of testing/calibration tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Expertise in planning and overseeing the production process, including task assignment, resource allocation, and monitoring progress.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 Kgs, and perform repetitive tasks requiring fine motor skills.
Proficiency in implementing and enforcing quality control procedures throughout the assembly process.
