This role drives Air growth and profitability in the UAE Area by translating global strategy and initiatives into Area Product, Carrier and Performance plans and ensure this is being executed and provide support with expertise and guidance. Responsible for delivering a superior Customer experience to Maersk customers and the execution of all operations tasks on time and on plan to support our Customers success within the Air product
Responsible for:
Strategy/Product Management
Identify market trends, opportunities and customer needs.
Own the execution of global initiatives and strategy within the Area.
Build bridges between Product development, Operations and Sales
Participate in power trade lanes strategy and support enhance routing development initiatives for the UAE Area
Carrier and Customer Relationship Management / Procurement
Support the CEN function in maintaining carrier relations.
Drive cost reductions by optimal allocation with carriers and contracts
Actively build strong relationships with customers
Own customer experience
Pricing Management
Area responsibility for all Air Freight Pricing activities incl. but not limited to Price setting.
Strategy and Margins
Operations Execution
Responsible for the end-to-end file execution on time and on plan to support our customers success in a lean and cost-efficient manner.
Ensuring team adheres to the standard process and customer specific IOP\'s and monitors respective KPI\'s
Standard processes - Implementation of standard processes and systems within the District and ensuring documentation is in place.
Leading a team of 7-8, responsible of end to end file execution, ground operation, terminal and customer clearance management.
Performance Management
Manage and improve the performance of the Service/Product in the Area
Product profitability - Focus on maximize revenue, EBIT and GP through upselling and cost management.
Strengthen the engagement with global network and drive value through the network.
People management: coach, motivate and build a high performing team.
Who we are looking for:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience: extensive Air product knowledge including experience in product pricing and go to market strategies, route development.
Lead by example, inspire and energize their team.
Strong analytical skills
Experience in customer facing engagements and presentation.
Understanding of the key profitability drivers in logistics and supply chain management
Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and execution.
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to navigate complex stakeholder matrix and to foster long-term relationships with internal teams and customers.
Ability to assess risks and make informed decisions in dynamic business environment.
Collaborative mindset, with ability to work in cross functional teams and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
