As a Joinery Draughtsman, you should be able to create and modify 3D designs and 2D technical drawings from scratch based on the brief received from client and in coordination with the manufacturing team as per requirements. Responsibilities:
- Education Qualification: Degree in civil engineering / architecture
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, preferably Autodesk AutoCAD is essential.
- Full understanding and ability to prepare drawings for MEP / Civil Works & Fire.
- Preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for shopfitting joinery products, such as wall display units, freestanding display units and other furniture using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborating with the clients and the manufacturing team to understand their requirements and provide design solutions.
- Conducting site visits if needed to take measurements and assess the feasibility of the joinery designs.
- Creating 2D and 3D renderings of joinery products to visualize the final outcome.
- Developing accurate material lists and quantity estimates for joinery projects.
- Ensuring that the joinery designs comply with relevant regulations, and industry standards.
- Making modifications and revisions to joinery drawings as required based on feedback from clients or project managers.
- Coordinating with production teams to communicate design specifications and provide technical support during the manufacturing process.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest joinery design trends, technologies, and materials.
- Maintaining organized and up-to-date documentation of joinery drawings and design files.
- Should have a strong understanding of Fit-out projects and scope of work.
- Should be able to create accurate and detailed drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections and particular details.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques is also important.
- Effective communication skills and need to work closely with architects, designers, and contractors.
- They need to ensure that their drawings are accurate and comply with relevant standards and regulations and site conditions.
- They should be able to work efficiently and meet project milestones.
- Should be adaptable and able to find creative solutions to problems that may arise during the design and manufacturing process.
- Should have minimum 1-2 years of experience in UAE.
