The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interior Draftsman to join our team in the fitout industry. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings for interior spaces, collaborating with design and project teams to ensure that all drawings align with client requirements, project specifications, and building codes. You will play a key role in converting design concepts into precise and executable drawings for construction and fitout projects. Technical Drawing Creation: o Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings of interior layouts, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details of various interior components (e.g., partitions, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings). o Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software to draft interior layouts and spatial arrangements based on conceptual designs. Space Planning & Layout: o Convert conceptual space plans into technical drawings that reflect the client's requirements and the designer's vision. o Ensure that space planning maximizes functionality and meets both aesthetic and practical requirements. Collaboration with Designers & Engineers: o Work closely with interior designers, architects, and engineers to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications. o Ensure that all drawings reflect the integration of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) with the interior design. Revisions & Updates: o Revise drawings based on feedback from design and project teams, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements. o Update drawings regularly to reflect any changes or modifications during the design development or construction phase. Technical Accuracy & Compliance: o Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. o Maintain high standards of technical accuracy in every drawing, including dimensioning, materials, finishes, and layout. Material & Finishes Documentation: o Assist in creating detailed material schedules and specifications for interior finishes, fixtures, and furniture. o Ensure that the materials and finishes are accurately reflected in the drawings and meet project specifications. o Coordination with Project Teams: o Coordinate with the project team, including construction managers, site supervisors, and contractors, to ensure that drawings are executable and support the efficient completion of the project. o Participate in project meetings and provide drawing-related updates or solutions to any issues that may arise during construction. Drawing Presentation & Documentation: o Prepare presentation-ready drawings and ensure that documentation is clear, professional, and suitable for both internal and external stakeholders. o Maintain an organized archive of all design and construction-related drawings, revisions, and specifications for each project.



Requirements

Qualifications & Skills Education: o Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. o Certification in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting software is highly desirable. Experience: o Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Interior Draftsman or in a similar drafting role within the construction, architecture, or fitout industry. o Familiarity with interior design principles and a strong understanding of how to translate design concepts into technical drawings. Technical Skills: o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software. o Knowledge of 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, etc.) is a plus. o Strong understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods for interior fitout projects.
