Job Summary :

An Architectural Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints used for the construction, renovation, and design of buildings and other structures. Working closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals, the draftsman plays a key role in translating conceptual ideas into accurate, detailed drawings that comply with building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Drafting & Design Support :
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans based on sketches, concepts, and specifications provided by architects and designers.
• Develop and modify designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software or traditional drafting tools.
• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and other detailed drawings required for construction projects.
• Ensure that all drawings are accurate, scaled properly, and comply with design guidelines and local building codes.
• Collaboration with Design Teams :
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to understand project requirements and provide drafting support.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from senior architects or clients.
• Assist in the development of design proposals and presentations for client meetings.
• Project Documentation & Compliance :
• Maintain accurate records of all drafts, designs, and revisions for project documentation.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with established standards, regulations, and building codes.
• Assist with preparing construction documents and permits when necessary.
• Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving :
• Review plans for technical accuracy and resolve any drafting or design issues that arise during the design or construction phases.
• Stay updated on current industry trends, building codes, materials, and technologies.
• Site Visits & Surveys :
• Occasionally visit project sites to gather measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure design accuracy.
• Document any changes or site-specific details that need to be reflected in the drawings.
• Quality Assurance :
• Review and check completed drafts for accuracy, consistency, and conformance to project specifications.
• Conduct quality control of drawing packages and ensure they are ready for presentation to clients or contractors.
• Software & Tools :
• Proficient use of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and other design tools for drafting.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software or rendering tools is an advantage.

Qualifications :

• Education :
• Associate's degree or diploma in Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or courses in AutoCAD or other drafting software are preferred.
• Experience :
• 2-5 years of experience in architectural drafting or related field.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building materials, and construction processes.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
