Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Architectural Designer with at least 8-10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be a creative Architectural Designer responsible for designing and planning architectural projects for our clients. In this position, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop designs that meet their requirements. Also conduct site visits to ensure the design is feasible and complies with building codes and regulations. You will also be expected to create detailed drawings and specifications, as well as oversee the construction process to ensure that the final product meets the design standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems - for all stages of design from concept to detailed design until issuance of construction drawings.

Create and develop architectural designs, conceptual plans, renderings, and documents for various projects.

Take the "brief" to identify clients' needs (design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs) and put together feasibility reports and design proposals. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide design solutions accordingly.

Develop ideas and Providing suitable design recommendations to Client keeping in mind client's needs, building's usage and environmental impact - and Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.

Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information necessary for design development.

Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections (Reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management and clients).

Produce detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (BIM, Revit, CAD) software - and / or manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans for client approval.

Prepare architectural reports and progress narratives - from concept to detailed design.

Independently able to prepare and develop all stages of design and working drawings. Produce complete and accurate drawings, including layouts, plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.

Produce construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.

Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design

Collaborate with project teams to ensure design integrity and quality.

Attend project meetings with external clients as well as internal team

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to incorporate into designs.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project correspondence.

Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Architecture with minimum of 10 years of relevant designing experience with 5 years in the UAE experience with a consulting firm.

Proven experience as an Architectural Designer in residential, retail, commercial, mall, hotel and office projects.

Proficient in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

Strong understanding of building codes and regulations

Ability to conceptualize and develop creative, elegant & efficient design solutions based on customer needs

Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software or other formats that accurately and clearly depict the architectural design intent.

Knowledge of sustainable design principles

Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple design projects and deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, engineers, and contractors

Excellent understanding of specifications, Legal knowledge and Authority requirements.

Very good understanding of building systems, construction materials/methods / techniques for new and existing structures

Strong knowledge of all interior material and interface details

Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (excel, word).

Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.

Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to completion.

Good team player, proactive thinker, systemic and organized, innovative & problem solving.

Efficient in time and task management.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of local design codes / regulations and possess excellent designing skills as well as the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. This is a creative position that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, engineers, and contractors.
