We are seeking a creative and skilled Architectural Designer with expertise in Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) design to join our dynamic design team. This role involves creating architectural designs for various projects, while also overseeing the selection, specification, and coordination of FF&E elements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architecture, interior design, and how FF&E enhances both the function and aesthetic of built spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architectural Design:
• Develop detailed architectural designs, layouts, and plans for commercial, residential, or hospitality projects, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare design presentations, conceptual sketches, and detailed construction drawings.
• Collaborate with project teams to create architectural designs that align with the client's vision and project goals.
• FF&E Selection and Specification:
• Lead the selection, specification, and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for projects, ensuring that selections meet both design aesthetics and functional requirements.
• Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project needs and curate FF&E solutions that align with the overall design vision.
• Coordinate the FF&E budget, ensuring all selections are cost-effective while maintaining design integrity and quality.
• Develop and maintain FF&E schedules and documentation, including detailed product specifications, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
• Design Coordination and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to integrate FF&E into the architectural design seamlessly.
• Ensure the functional and ergonomic placement of FF&E within the built environment, considering factors like space planning, user experience, and aesthetics.
• Work with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to source FF&E that meets design and quality standards, negotiating terms and timelines as necessary.
• Project Management Support:
• Provide support in managing the implementation and installation of FF&E items, ensuring all pieces arrive on time and in proper condition.
• Assist in the coordination of construction and installation processes, ensuring that architectural designs and FF&E specifications are adhered to on-site.
• Participate in site visits and project meetings to ensure that the design vision is being executed correctly and to address any issues that arise.
• Design Documentation and Presentations:
• Prepare and present design concepts, FF&E proposals, and mood boards to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation of all design work, including FF&E specifications, contracts, and invoices.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications in Interior Design or FF&E is a plus.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience as an Architectural Designer, Interior Designer, or a similar role, with a strong focus on FF&E design and coordination.
• Experience in commercial, hospitality, or residential design projects preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D modeling, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of FF&E design, materials, products, and sourcing processes.
• Solid understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and interior design standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetics, spatial planning, and functionality.
• Other:
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to visit job sites, as needed, for project reviews and coordination.

• Office-based with occasional site visits for project coordination and installation oversight.
