Job Summary: Architectural Engineering (AE) Services: Capable of providing new construction architectural services, not to include Title II services. Architectural Engineers shall provide services including review of design drawings utilizing the AutoCAD, developing requirements, plan layouts, schematic, preliminary plans, complete working drawings, specifications and cost estimates. Review shop drawings submitted by contractors to determine if requirements and architectural standards have been met. The position requires the architect have 5 years experiences and preferred to have RA registered licensed architect. Attends meetings as required. Responsible for construction inspections, quality control, submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers. In addition, this discipline may be required to travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify compliance and quality of work being performed on jobs/projects.
Job Duties: Performs technical and administrative functions related to architectural design work necessary to generate construction documents. Supports the Lead Architect, performing most types of calculations and designs using both computer-aided and manual design techniques. Accomplishes architectural design assignments of any complexity. Prepares conceptual and preliminary design drawings and documents. Writes reports covering architectural matters. Selects and recommends procedures, building materials, methods, equipment, and finishes for buildings. Writes materials specifications and prepare detailed take-offs as required. Consults and coordinates with associated engineering disciplines in the development of building design and construction documents. Prepares layouts and develops architectural details from which designers prepare final construction drawings. Coordinates activities with production team to produce final construction documents. Performs a squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines. Checks supplier fabrication drawings for accuracy. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making adaptations and modifications as required. Organizes/plans jobs, writes/reviews specifications, prepares/maintains schedules, develops/monitors estimates and manpower forecasts. Assigns work, works with project/client/field, material procurement, permit and subcontract activities. May have concurrent responsibility or involvement in more than one project.

Basic Job Requirements . Accredited professional architectural degree based on country requirements and six (6) years of work-related experience; professional architectural registration; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors . Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines . Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements Security clearance (Secret or above)
Preferred Qualifications - Eight (8) years related experience; minimum of five (5) years design experience - Registered Architect (RA) - Membership in external technical society
