Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Architect Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the inspection and evaluation of building projects, ensuring compliance with architectural plans, codes, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architecture, building construction, and inspection processes, with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with approved architectural designs and local building codes.
• Verify that construction work is completed as per plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues identified during inspections.
• Review construction documents, including plans, permits, and specifications, to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Advise on design alterations or adjustments to improve safety, functionality, and adherence to building codes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspections and communications with clients and contractors.
• Monitor progress and timelines to ensure that projects stay on schedule.
• Ensure safety standards are met on all sites, and enforce policies to mitigate potential hazards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification or licensure (e.g., AIA, NCARB) preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural inspection, construction, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and software to document and report findings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues early in the construction process.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project teams, clients, and contractors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy efficiency standards is a plus.
