Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fit-Out Engineer with extensive experience in joinery shop drawings to join our dynamic team. As a Fit-Out Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of fit-out projects, focusing primarily on joinery components. You will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and craftsmen to ensure that all joinery elements meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Joinery Shop Drawing Creation: Utilize your expertise to develop detailed joinery shop drawings in accordance with project specifications, architectural drawings, and design concepts. Ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Technical Evaluation: Conduct thorough technical evaluations of joinery materials, components, and techniques to determine feasibility, performance, and suitability for specific projects. Provide recommendations for improvements or alternatives as needed.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, interior designers, and subcontractors to coordinate the integration of joinery elements within overall fit-out projects. Communicate effectively to address any design or engineering challenges and ensure seamless execution.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance measures throughout the production and installation phases to maintain exceptional standards of craftsmanship and durability. Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any deviations or deficiencies.
• Cost and Time Management: Assist in the estimation of material quantities, labor requirements, and project timelines related to joinery work. Monitor progress, identify potential delays or cost overruns, and proactively implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of all joinery-related activities, including drawings, specifications, change orders, and correspondence. Prepare comprehensive progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership and Training: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior engineers, drafters, and craftsmen involved in joinery production and installation. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Proven experience (Min. 5 years) in fit-out engineering with a specialization in joinery shop drawings.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant tools for drafting and modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
