Job Description
• Creating Detailed Drawings : Producing accurate and detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Using CAD Software : Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify architectural drawings. Common software includes AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Interpreting Designs : Translating architects' and engineers' concepts and designs into detailed technical drawings.
• Building Codes : Ensuring that all drawings comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Industry Standards : Adhering to industry standards and best practices for architectural drafting and documentation.
• Project Documentation :
• Preparing Documentation : Creating comprehensive sets of drawings that include all necessary information for construction, such as dimensions, materials, and specifications.
• Reviewing Drawings : Checking drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, ensuring that they meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Making Revisions : Updating and revising drawings as needed based on feedback from architects, engineers, and clients.
