Additionally, preparing regulations, policies, and work manuals related to antiquities.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and technical advice for all works related to archaeological survey, excavation, exploration, and studies related to antiquities.
- Prepare regulations, policies, and work guides for antiquities to develop archaeological sites, ensuring their protection and preservation.
- Participate in setting management principles, directing operations, and improving productivity within the department.
- Strengthen relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the provision of high-quality services.
- Develop programs that enhance learning, development, training, and motivation of work teams.
- Prepare studies, research, books, reports, bulletins, and periodicals on various archaeological sites and excavation projects.
- Supervise the classification, registration, and documentation of artifacts discovered through excavation and prospecting at various archaeological sites.
- Participate in local and regional workshops, seminars, and conferences related to archaeological projects.
- Carry out all assigned tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the Authority's approved information security and confidentiality policy.Operational Responsibilities
- Provide support in analyzing data periodically and upon request to support leadership decision-making.
- Report any operational risks or obstacles to achieving departmental goals and objectives.Financial Management
- Ensure alignment with relevant financial policies and procedures within the function.Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, History, or a related field.
- 5 to 7+ years of relevant working experience in archaeological survey, excavation, exploration, and research.
- Experience in developing and implementing operational plans for archaeological preservation and site management.
- Knowledge of financial and operational matters related to cultural heritage and archaeological preservation.
- Proven ability to negotiate and develop partnerships at local and international levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find workable solutions and resolve complaints.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in supervising the classification, registration, and documentation of artifacts.
- Ability to participate in strategic planning, policy development, and the management of archaeological sites.What We Offer
