Job Description

*Duties and Responsibilities:*
  • Teach all areas related to the subject and relevant curriculum.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior, policies, and procedures to
maintain order among students.
  • Observe and evaluate students performance, behavior, and social
development.
  • Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to
meet students\' varying needs and interests.
  • Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore,
manipulate, and use in learning activities.
  • Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction,
demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to
observe, question, and investigate.
  • Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and
administrators to resolve students\' behavioral and academic problems.
  • Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning
opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and
communicate those objectives to students.
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
  • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their students\' progress, and
to determine their priorities for their students and their resource needs.
  • Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum
guidelines or requirements of ADEK/KHDA and schools.
  • Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or
special academic interests.
  • Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental, or
health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or
guardians, and the SEN Department.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on
students and activities, as required by ADEK/KHDA and School.
  • Assess students by conducting quizzes, tests, projects, etc
  • Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students\'
progress.
  • Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students\' needs and
progress.
  • Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting
learning, following approved curricula.
  • Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret
results to determine students\' developmental levels and needs.
  • Prepare for assigned classes, and show written evidence of preparation
upon request of immediate supervisors.
  • Utilize different types of technology in the classroom to create
meaningful learning experiences for students of all ages.
  • Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other
experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those
activities.
  • Attend professional meetings including staff meetings, educational
conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve
performance, and serve on committees as required.
  • Perform break duties as scheduled by the sections administrators.
  • Perform administrative duties such as assisting in school libraries, play
areas, and cafeteria monitoring, and during the bus timings.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and superiors
