ARABIC (ISLAMIC & SOCIAL STUDIES) TEACHER

Purpose of the Job

To teach a class of students Arabic Language and other related subjects while ensuring that the planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their various students' learning and social needs and ensure students 'progress. To be flexible and adaptable to the needs of a growing school, actively contributing to its development and growth.

Duties and responsibilities/ ARABIC (ISLAMIC & SOCIAL STUDIES) TEACHER

Under the Head of Arabic Department

1. Implement agreed-upon school policies and procedures.

2. Support initiatives determined by the Principal and Head of Arabic Department.

3. Effectively and consistently plan lessons and lesson sequences to meet the unique learning requirements of all students, including those with special educational needs and gifted or talented students. Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all students, through differentiation of tasks.

4. Ensure that students are present for every class and follow up on absences as needed; Consistently and effectively use a range of appropriate strategies for teaching and classroom management.

5. Use prior learning data consistently and effectively to establish realistic expectations for students, track their progress, and provide them with feedback, support and motivation to achieve their highest potential.

6. Assess the students' attainment, record and maintain accurate students' evaluation and progresses 'records.

7. Provide a stimulating, language-rich classroom environment in which all students have appropriate access to resources.

8. In accordance with the school's behavior policy, maintain a safe and caring environment with excellent classroom management.

9. Participate in, and occasionally lead, curriculum, parents and other student-related meetings as requested by the school's management.

10. Maintain effective and efficient individualized records for each child, and incorporate formative and summative assessment of the class into daily and medium-term planning.

11. Fairly mark, grade and give written/verbal and diagnostic feedback as required.

12. Report to parents on each child's development, progress, and achievement on Arabic language on a regular basis.

13. Communicate and collaborate with specialists (psychologist, special needs specialist, social worker, speech therapist, etc.) from both inside and outside the school where is required.

14. Participate in the performance management system to evaluate your own or colleagues (peer observations) performance/s.

15. Participate in all during the school and after-school activities and excursions.

16. Adhere to the teacher's code of conduct and always share the best practices within the team.

17. Always improve teaching methods and innovate to achieve students' progress.

18. Set and maintain high expectations for student behavior.

19. Support the development of the Arabic department, school overall and contribute to the school's improvement plan.

20. Work as a member of a designated team and contribute positively to effective working relations within the school.

21. Contribute to the process of designing curriculum, ordering and allocation of equipment, materials (books, other) and resources.

22. Cooperate with other staff to ensure a sharing and effective usage of resources to benefit the school and the students.

23. Alert the appropriate staff about the problems experienced by students and make

recommendations as to how these may be resolved. Seek an advice from the staff from the appropriate staff member for an assistance.

Requirements

Essential

University degree in the subject or a related subject (Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized and accredited educational institution) and additional qualification (such as Diploma, teaching qualification) and a minimum of three years of teaching experience.

Or university degree in another subject (Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized and accredited educational institution) and additional qualification (such as Diploma) and an accredited and recognized teaching certificate or license, and a minimum of three years of experience in teaching the subject.

This position is available to UAE Nationals only.

Provision of the documents required for MOHRE, ADEK and other Local Authorities.

The Teacher is expected to:

Other RESPONSIBILITIES

All staff are required to manage effective personal development as part of the RSAD's commitment to invest in staff as the key resource in the organization.

• All Staff must ensure that they meet their statutory responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and other relevant legislation, and should conform to the professional and ethical requirements.
