Full job description
• Perform a wide range of complex oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, and corrective jaw surgery.
• Utilize advanced surgical techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure precise surgical outcomes and patient safety.
• Evaluate patients for dental implant placement suitability, considering oral health status, bone density, and anatomical considerations.
• Plan and execute the surgical placement of dental implants, ensuring optimal aesthetic and functional outcomes.
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative assessment and counseling to patients, explaining treatment options, risks, and benefits.
• Deliver post-operative care, monitoring patients' recovery progress, managing complications, and providing guidance on oral hygiene and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including prosthodontists, orthodontists, and general dentists to develop integrated treatment plans for complex cases.
• Consult with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate care for patients with systemic health issues affecting treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with local regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Adhere to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and institutional protocols governing dental practice.
• Stay abreast of advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, and related fields through participation in continuing education programs, workshops, and conferences.
• Contribute to clinical research and publications to advance knowledge and improve patient care practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education: Completion of a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
• Specialized Training: Completion of a residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery recognized by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) or equivalent regulatory body.
• Licensure: Licensed to practice dentistry and oral surgery in Abu Dhabi, with necessary credentials from HAAD or relevant authorities.
