Position: Arabic ChefRole overview Supervises Arabic kitchen, coordinates and participates in activities of chefs and other kitchen personnel engaged in Arabic Cuisine, preparing and cooking food in the Club, Restaurant and Banquet establishment. Duties & Responsibilities
To assist and work together with Sous Chef/Head Chef for the day-to-day operation, food production and stewarding sections and inform the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Executive Chef of major decisions taken in the assigned kitchen
To have full and comprehensive knowledge of the menus, ingredients, technical skills and culinary requirements related to the job, and those of all the chefs subordinate to you
To attend and assist in all company courses, in house training sessions, and meetings as requested by the management
Contribute to menu creation
Manage and train the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organized and motivated team
Ensure consistency in quality, quantity, flavors & taste of dishes at all times
Manage customer relations when necessary, in the absence of the Executive Chef
Ensure resources meet business needs through the effective management of working rosters
Support brand standards through the training and assessment of your team
Manage food cost controls to contribute to Food and Beverage revenue
Knowledge of activities in other departments and implications
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards
To ensure all staff are sufficiently trained and supervise to perform their duties productively, and are always aware of the duties they are required to perform
To pass on information to staff as required by management, Executive Chef, etc. operational requirements and communicate effectively with all section heads
To ensure the effective operation of the Arabic Section and effective use of company and culinary procedures
To report all hazards and maintenance issues to head Chef, Sous Chef, the Executive Chef and to document them in the kitchen communications
To supervise and train staff, direct, motivate and discipline all kitchen staff to achieve all company standards of quality, timing, performance, work ethic, hygiene and productivity
To maintain a safe, motivated and harmonious workplace free of hazards, harassment, negativity discrimination
To perform all administration duties required for kitchen operation
To communicate effectively with management and staff as required
Stock control and cost control
Follow company policies and procedures, demonstrate efficient teamwork and contribute to the achievement of business goals
Any additional duties or tasks assigned by your supervisor that are required for the smooth running of your department
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Hospitality or certification in culinary arts
Minimum 5 years experience in Hospitality in a similar role is preferred
Previous training for Essential Food & Safety in the UAE (EFST), Food Hygiene, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Excellent in preparing, creating and always up to date with menus, ingredients, and style related to Arabic Food, recipes, cooking, etc. \xc2\xb7 Strong stamina because this job will require you to stand in a long period \xc2\xb7 Has full knowledge of hygiene, hotel safety, and emergency procedure \xc2\xb7 Ability to work well with others \xc2\xb7 Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure \xc2\xb7 To be thorough and pay attention to details \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal communication skills \xc2\xb7 A desire to help people \xc2\xb7 Active listening skills \xc2\xb7 A good memory \xc2\xb7 Arabic nationality is preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month Experience:
