About the role

We are looking for an experienced Applications Manager to lead and enhance our technology ecosystem, ensuring that our schools are equipped with cutting-edge tools for success.



As Applications Manager, you will oversee the management and integration of all software applications and data systems within our Middle East operations. This role is vital to ensuring the consistency, reliability, and efficiency of our applications portfolio, data analytics, reporting, and system integrations.




The successful candidate will lead a team of system analysts and developers while collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure the alignment of our technology strategy with the group's broader objectives.



Key Responsibilities:



Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of system analysts and developers to ensure effective operation of applications and data systems.

Provide professional development and training opportunities for the team to stay current with industry trends.

Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to enhance team productivity.



Application and Data Management:

Oversee the delivery, maintenance, and support of application implementations and development projects across the region.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security within all group applications and reporting systems.

Manage the development and deployment of data analytics solutions to support decision making.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define requirements for new applications and system enhancements.



Strategic Planning and Architecture:

Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for standardising applications and data systems across the group.

Establish a unified architecture for seamless integration and interoperability of applications and data systems.

Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies through the effective use of technology.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and guide the group's technology strategy.

Develop and manage the regional applications budget, monitor spending, and identify cost saving opportunities.



Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and internal policies.

Generate and distribute reports on application performance, data integrity, and system usage.

Monitor and report on KPIs related to applications and data systems.



Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience managing applications and data systems, preferably within an educational or similar environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Knowledge of project management methodologies; PMP certification is preferred.

Experience with school management information systems and digital learning tools is a plus.

Proficiency in business applications and systems such as ERP and CRM.

Strategic thinker with the ability to implement long-term technology plans.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
