Job Description

As an Apparel Graphic Designer at thedefaultgoods, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and on-trend graphics for t-shirts and hoodies. This internship opportunity offers you hands-on experience in a startup environment, where you will contribute to the development of a growing online clothing and skateboard shop. You will collaborate closely with the design and marketing teams to bring creative concepts to life while gaining exposure to the fashion industry. This is a 3-month internship position with a monthly stipend of 300 AED. Responsibilities: 1. Create original and compelling graphic designs for t-shirts and hoodies that align with thedefaultgoods\' brand and target audience. 2. Generate design concepts based on provided briefs, incorporating current fashion trends and skateboard culture elements. 3. Utilize software tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant applications to develop high-quality graphic designs. 4. Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure designs meet brand guidelines and project objectives. 5. Assist with the preparation of design files for production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to printing requirements. 6. Stay updated on emerging design trends, techniques, and technologies related to apparel graphics. 7. Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for new product ideas and designs. 8. Contribute to the overall design process by providing feedback, suggestions, and ideas during design reviews. Requirements: 1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. 2. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other relevant tools. 3. Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and composition. 4. Good understanding of fashion trends, streetwear culture, and skateboard aesthetics. 5. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment. 6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate creative ideas and concepts. 7. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. 8. Prior experience or portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills is a plus.
