Experience in managing APIs using industry-standard tools and platforms, such as Swagger, Postman, or Apigee, is essential. Proficiency in API security principles, including OAuth, JWT, and API keys, is required to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data exchanged through APIs. The candidate must have a deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based APIs, as well as the ability to integrate APIs with various systems and databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to troubleshoot API issues and optimize performance. Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business stakeholders. A proactive attitude towards exploring new API technologies and standards is highly desirable. Previous experience in designing and documenting APIs will be advantageous in showcasing your expertise in API management.
