JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an Android Native Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance native Android applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, product managers, and other developers to create seamless and engaging user experiences. Your expertise in Android development will be critical in delivering robust and scalable applications that meet our client's needs and expectations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

oApplication Development: Design, develop, and deploy high-quality native Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin.

oCode Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.

oCollaboration: Work collaboratively with UX/UI designers and product managers to translate requirements and wireframes into high-quality, functional code.

oPerformance Optimization: Continuously monitor, debug, and optimize application performance to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience.

oTesting: Implement unit tests and integrate automated testing to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.

oDocumentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and development processes.

oInnovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development and incorporate them into your work.

oProblem Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to software development, including debugging and troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

oSkills:

o Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin for Android development.

o Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern Android development tools.

o Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.

o Understanding of Android design principles, patterns, and best practices.

o Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

o Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.

oExperience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native) is a plus.

oKnowledge of backend technologies and services.

oExperience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

oContributions to open-source projects or a strong personal portfolio of Android applications.

EDUCATION:

oBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field

EXPERIENCE:

oMinimum of 5 years
