Job Title: Analytical Chemist (Female)
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Analytical Chemist(Female) to join our construction laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various chemical analyses on construction materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role will involve collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other scientists to support our projects with accurate and reliable data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and titration to assess material properties.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods to improve testing processes and outcomes.
• Interpret and report analytical results, providing clear recommendations based on findings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations in all laboratory activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform regular calibration and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development initiatives.
• Document all experimental procedures, results, and methodologies in compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in analytical chemistry.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an analytical chemistry role, preferably within a construction or materials testing laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of chemical analysis techniques and laboratory best practices.
• Familiarity with construction materials and their properties is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Knowledge of ASTM and AASHTO testing standards.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in a laboratory setting.
