We also run non-fuel services at our service stations.About the JobLocation: SharjahTo monitor the integrity and performance of the control systems at the plant and terminals. Further coordinate with maintenance to enhance the systems based on performance and end user requirements to ensure end use satisfaction.Key Accountabilities
Maintains the availability of plant automation systems on multiple platforms, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) through running regular checks and periodic monitoring to maintain Business Continuity at all times.
Decipher process requirements through one-to-one meetings and analyse complex systems development or modification or enhancement issues and ensure to communicate to relevant stakeholders to take appropriate action in time.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional associations on a regular basis to guarantee top of the line servicing and monitoring.
Participate with Specialist in Troubleshoot/diagnose, modify and repair automation and network hardware, software and communications problems, and prepare upgrade/replacement plans
Develops and maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation, monitoring reports, logs and files. Further consolidates project documentation and software for future reference.
Schedule visits at least once a week to prepare system/network performance and end user requirements reports to team leader to take appropriate actions when need arise.
Validate Cybersecurity and Safety system implementation gaps and provide gaping report.
Knowledge Transfer
Train end users to make effective use of process automation systems and responds to work orders, inquiries, and requests from other departments on process automation and controls, plant information and peripheral equipments.
Develop training programs to ensure users understand functionality of the systems and have ability to run it through easy to grasp and straightforward training program.
Meet with end user and communicate on a regular basis to get feedback of the systems and ensure they requirements are translated into realistic steps of enhancing their experience.
Maintenance
Coordinate and participate in maintaining and enhancing process automation and network functionality as per requirements and feedback aiming to reflect that in to enhancing the systems.
Assist as per need with maintenance of network communications and repairs network cable and configuration problems.
Prepare spare part, backups and systems upgrade plans as required and ensure proper installation and activation per requirements.
Supports Maintenance in the up keeping of the Auxiliary automation systems related to Tank Gauging, Air compressor, Cathodic protection, Flow Metering and Fire Alarms panels.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in electronics, computer information systems, engineering or a closely related field.
6 years of experience in implementation, support and maintenance of process automation and controls in Oil and Gas sector preferable within both mid-stream and downstream.
Experience in working with one or more of the Honeywell and EMERSON DCS, Rockwell, B&R and Siemens PLC systems.
