The Analyst will cover a workload which includes both on-going responsibilities to run existing processes and project leverage (research, analytics, materials prep, etc.).Primary functions and essential responsibilities:
Support the Head of Middle East Relationship Management and other team members, who are responsible for marketing all of Ares strategies to prospective and current institutional investors
Continuously track and analyze investor mandates and allocation preferences, and conduct quantitative and qualitative market and competitor research to produce investor demand assessments identifying key prospects ahead of fund launches and fundraising roadshows
Organize, plan and prepare materials for fundraising roadshows, meetings and calls with portfolio managers and senior leadership. Responsible for preparing briefing memos, agendas, and customized client materials
Lead performance reporting and measurement initiatives for the Middle East RM team, via the delivery of weekly activity and fund pipeline reports, fundraising summaries, and roadshow campaign trackers
Develop fund feedback reports to drive product development discussions by identifying deep, actionable insights into investor and market sentiment
Assist Head of Middle East RM team in the creation of annual business plans which identify strategic initiatives, fundraising targets, and key performance indicators that inform the success of the Middle East Marketing team
Prepare documentation and material for external and internal meetings, as required
Distribute succinct summaries of meeting notes, as needed
Responsible for tracking client contacts and meetings with investors and potential investors, including maintenance of Salesforce system, distribution of conference and meeting notes, and other organizational tasks related to supporting the Middle East RM team
Work with the Strategy & Relationship Management operations team as it pertains to the development and benefit of the Middle East team to streamline processes across different groups including Operations, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Investment Teams
Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed
Qualifications & Education:
College graduate with major in Economics, Finance, General Business or Management preferred, with outstanding academic record
Experience Required:
2-3 years of corporate experience required
Financial services experience preferred
General Requirements:
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Requires flexibility, good communication skills, excellent writing skills and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrated ability to understand, analyst and articulate financial data, and make informed decisions.
Work experience in a position requiring a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
Enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a rapidly paced work environment
