We are currently seeking an ambitious person to be part of the HSBC Global Banking Coverage team in Dubai to assist senior bankers in developing and growing profitable long-term relationships with allocated clients.In this role, you will:
  • Assist in growing revenues across allocated portfolios, defending/serving existing business in addition to originating new value-added revenue streams.
  • Establish a holistic understanding of clients\' needs and deliver innovative high-value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Group.
  • Day-to-day coverage of the portfolio with responsibility for delivery of HSBC product and services, client plans, and overall relationship.
  • Ensure best-in-class coverage of the client portfolio, establish a comprehensive understanding of the client\'s business and banking needs, and deliver high value-added solutions across all product lines.
  • Drive achievements against targets for revenue generation and customer satisfaction, along with responsibility for Risk, Credit, and Compliance requirements.
  • Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality & requisite returns on risk
  • Prepare/assist in complex financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Prepare/update internal and external presentations
  • Support in audit and reporting requirements as and when required.
  • Assist in the client planning exercise, profitability calculation and CAC sheet preparation.
  • Exposure analysis, audit and reconciliation.
  • Take ownership of smaller accounts to handle day to day requests from clients.
  • Support the Global Relationship Banker (\xe2\x80\x9cGRB\xe2\x80\x9d) for Business Approval submissions.
  • Up-to-date and reconcile profitability reports ahead of all key transactions.
  • Using relevant publicly available information to gather data as requested.
  • Act as primary point of contact for small clients and colleagues and take lead role in dealing with client service teams and requests for information.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Bank from different departments where relevant to each transaction.
  • Have a general understanding across the different products HSBC offers to clients.
  • Involve in big ticket deals that are required to be presented to internal approval committees.
  • Involve in key event business as and when applicable.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
RequirementsTo be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Basic Knowledge on corporate finance products
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proven ability in dealing with clients
  • Basic knowledge of financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Adequate understanding of the financial markets
  • Basic knowledge of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s operational processes and systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Relevant work experience in finance functions
  • Graduation degree is a must \xe2\x80\x93 to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
  • Under the New Labour Law, only fixed term contracts shall be available to all employees of HSBC UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) \xe2\x80\x93 hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 contract would be issued.
