We also run non-fuel services at our service stations.About the JobContribute in managing the ADNOC Distribution Market Research activities by collecting and analysing data from various internal and external sources; generate macro and micro economic environmental reports, maintain external data and information database relevant to ADNOC Distribution business and Oil and Gas industry etc. to support the strategic and business development initiatives and informed decision making.Key Accountabilities
Supplies the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning, and proactively makes recommendations to management concerning key intelligence items that require further consideration.
Creates and updates comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces.
Performs thorough, systematic analysis of key industry trends; the general social economic environment; legal and regulatory issues; customers; current and potential competitors.
Provides market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various internal management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leverages them across the company where appropriate.
Develops and maintains relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
Research and Analysis
Manage data from multiple syndicated research services to provide insight, uncover opportunities, and support business teams in defining actions
Perform in-depth, statistical data analysis for primary market research data and identify key insights to support business growth
Lead internal customers to explore and analyze market trends and competitor activities to enhance ADNOC Distribution market positioning, reach etc.
Ensure accurate development and timely reporting of key periodic reports
Perform economic research with regards to competitive environment, market analysis and provide input in the preparation of annual and quarterly reports and other publications.
Organizes data into report format and arranges for preparation of graphic illustrations of research findings to ensure that the report highlights key issues and is easy to read.
Identify and capture data sources for the database (including external sources, third party providers and internal data) to ensure that the data sources identified and captured are diversified and comprehensive.
Implement methods and procedures for collecting and processing data, utilizing knowledge of available sources of data and various econometric and sampling techniques to ensure that the integrity of data is maintained, and the insights generated are relevant.
Fields adhoc requests and supports the analysis and delivery of information. Helps communicate key findings of adhoc analysis appropriately to the relevant stakeholders
Support ongoing changes in reports and scorecards to address changes in business landscape (system streamlining, new data sources, changes in monitoring needs etc.)
Communication and Relationship Management
Support Department Manager Economics & Research in communicating analysis and research reports to a variety of audiences through both written and oral communication.
Establish and maintain working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across ADNOC Distribution and beyond (e.g. Finance and Business Unit strategy teams)
Provide ad-hoc strategy support to other teams within ADNOC Distribution as required
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or any other relevant field
At least 6 years of experience in market research department in Downstream Oil, Gas Distribution company and Retail sector.
Knowledge of various data analysis and statistical research techniques
Well versed with data analysis and research languages like R & SPSS etc.
